Setting the Stage for Feeding Success: Early Skills for Babies with Down Syndrome

Join us on February 24 at 1:30 PM CT for an educational webinar designed for parents of babies with Down syndrome. Learn why feeding intervention should begin at birth and how early preparation for solids—starting in the first 3 years—supports safer, more successful feeding. We’ll cover essential prefeeding skills, gross motor foundations, and introduce the Adapted Baby-Led Weaning Approach®, including how to use family foods and bridge devices to promote self-feeding and optimal chewing. Parents will leave with practical strategies, visuals, and video examples to confidently support their baby’s feeding journey.

Finding Calm in the Chaos: Recognizing and Responding to Caregiver Stress

November 4th @ 10 AM Central Time

If you’re a parent who’s spent too much time in hospital rooms, waiting on test results, or juggling therapies and appointments, you know how hard it can be to ever feel “normal” again. This session is a conversation between parents — not another lecture.

Elizabeth will share what she’s learned about medical trauma and why many of us stay in a constant state of alert, even long after the crisis passes. She’ll help you understand what’s happening in your body when you feel on edge or shut down, and she’ll teach a simple activity you can start using right away to help your nervous system come back to safety.

You’ll walk away with:

  • Language for what you’re feeling and why
  • A new way to notice when your body is stuck in “survival mode”
  • A small, practical tool to help you respond instead of react when things get hard
