MEDICAL AND ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT and support.
Having access to the right therapy and medical equipment can make a world of difference in the lives of our children with Down syndrome. But it can be overwhelming when medical bills or just other life circumstances stand in the way of gaining access. So, at Team Iron Will, we stand in the gap and help families who might not otherwise be able to afford therapy tools/toys and medical or adaptive equipment and we cover appointment costs and other things necessary to help your loved ones with Down syndrome thrive.
Who can apply?
Parents, therapists or other medical professionals, family members, or a Down syndrome organization working on behalf of a family. You can request assistance for any child or adult who is in need.
What kinds of material assistance do you provide?
We are open to helping with any equipment that will assist in your loved one's well-being and development. Some things we have already helped with: orthotics, walker/gait trainers, speech therapy tools, oxygen concentrators, monitoring systems for medically fragile kids, adaptive strollers and high chairs, Life Vacs, medical supplies not covered by insurance, pulse oximeters, holistic medical appointments not covered by insurance, hotel bills for extended hosital stays and more. If you have a need, please ask.
How expensive can the equipment be?
We have a cap of $1,500 for any one piece of equipment.
Can you apply more than once?
Yes, you can.
